Welcome to THE MOUTH of the South Bay

Hello and welcome to South Bay Mouth.


 Many of you may already know why this is site is called The Mouth, but for those that don't, locals commonly call the South Bay, "Mouth Bay."  The South Bay is a section of  South Los Angeles County encompassing a cluster of beach cities.


For a long time now I have wanted to create a place where locals and visitors alike can see what is going on and available to them in the South Bay.  Although I have lived most of my life in the area, I realize there is so much to do and see that I was never aware of.  I hear of great events and local fun and often when I share it with others they say they have lived here for so long and they never knew about it!  So, here we are... My hopes are that this site will provide something new to improve the quality of your life in the South Bay.  I do believe this site will be beneficial to both those living the single life and to families.  Please visit the South Bay Mouth often to stay on top of special events, new restaurants/shops, bargains and sales, reviews and opinions, bands and music, a video from an aspiring Chef or even just a photo of a beautiful sunset.

GIVEAWAY: Handmade Jewelry from Penelope's Porch at ETSY

About the Artist
Penelope's Porch, an ETSY store out of Redondo Beach is offering a GIVEAWAY to our readers!  This ETSY store features adorable handmade jewelry items which Penelope describes as "unique, whimsical and romantic."  I think she chose 3 great words to describe her items.  According to ETSY, Penny joined in September of 2009 and from the looks of it people are loving her crafts.  Now you can also get a piece of Penelope's Porch!  In addition to what you see here are my other favorites: Cupid's Arrow Necklace in Valentine Red, There's an Owl in my Garden Antiqued Book Locket and the Aqua Flowers and Yellow Dahlia Charm Necklace.

What you will WIN!!!
Penelope has graciously offered to allow the winner to choose from 3 of her items.  Here are the choices:

1. Three Roses 
Three gorgeous roses. One vintage pink porcelain rose, one blue clay handmade blue rose and one buttermilk rose in lucite . All on an 18" gold plated chain. $18.00



2. Secret Garden Teacup Necklace
This darling little peachy pink teacup sits upon a ruffled edge saucer and is filled with a dainty pale blue garden rose.  I also added a tiny golden key to the garden gate and attached them both to a sparkly gold plated chain.  The teacup measures 3/4" and the gold plated chain is 18" in length. $14.00


3. Who's Calling Vintage Telephone Ring
A miniature vintage telephone in copper with a rotary dial that actually turns. There is a tiny brass owl that dangles from the receiver and the gold plated ring base is adjustable. Telephone measures 1" high.
