Welcome to THE MOUTH of the South Bay
Hello and welcome to South Bay Mouth.
Many of you may already know why this is site is called The Mouth, but for those that don't, locals commonly call the South Bay, "Mouth Bay." The South Bay is a section of South Los Angeles County encompassing a cluster of beach cities.
For a long time now I have wanted to create a place where locals and visitors alike can see what is going on and available to them in the South Bay. Although I have lived most of my life in the area, I realize there is so much to do and see that I was never aware of. I hear of great events and local fun and often when I share it with others they say they have lived here for so long and they never knew about it! So, here we are... My hopes are that this site will provide something new to improve the quality of your life in the South Bay. I do believe this site will be beneficial to both those living the single life and to families. Please visit the South Bay Mouth often to stay on top of special events, new restaurants/shops, bargains and sales, reviews and opinions, bands and music, a video from an aspiring Chef or even just a photo of a beautiful sunset.

TULLE is a clothing company out of Compton, California that occasionally has great sales on their site. OLD NAVY
This Saturday is also the OLD NAVY $1 Flip Flop Sale! This is a great opportunity to buy flip flops in every color and gear up for summer. For $1 you will not be sad if you forget a pair behind. I admit they are not the super best flip flops out there but I do have about 10 pairs and I wear them a lot. They get the job of the flip flop done! I will be definitely getting my flip flops this weekend and I am sure I will have some updates for you in a few weeks if all goes as planned. :) According to some sources the stores will open at 7am and will limit 5 pairs per person.
Contact your local Old Navy to see what time their store will be opening for this promotion (and go early because they sell FAST)

Dive N Surf is a great local South Bay business that is known around the world, mostly in the Surf community. In 1953 the Meistrell twins invested into the local sports shop with a couple of friends. Business grew and grew and in 1957 the Meistrells bought out their partners and became the sole owners of Dive N Surf. 1990 marked another landmark year for the Meistrell brothers when they were "inducted into the Diving Hall of Fame and the Pioneers of Surfing." Dive N Surf is still going strong today, even after the passing of brother Bill Meistrell, the company continues to be as popular as ever. Dive N Surf is a household name to many South Bay residents. I love that you can get Dive Certified through Dive N Surf. That is certainly on my to do list!

She truly encompasses the passion for the sports that Dive N Surf lives for. Holly is quite inspirational and such a great girl. This is the last week for the "Penny Sale" at Aaron Brothers. The Penny Sale allows you to purchase any frame or canvas and get the second one for 1 PENNY. For any artists or photographers out there this is a pretty good deal to get you set up for the year. I am sure many of you had some great photos taken over the holidays, now you have no excused as to why you can not frame them. The sale ends on January, 24th.

Yankee Candle has been around awhile with their jar candles of a gajillion different fragrances. Well right now Yankee Candle is having their semi-annual sale at yankeecandle.com, but even better, the Yankee Candle store at the South Bay Galleria is going out of business and closing in 2 weeks. Apparently they have some great prices on their yummy (sometimes overpowering) candles and other scented items. What makes this deal super amazing is that there is a coupon available for $10 off a purchase of $25 that you can print and take in with you. I think that is a great way to start your Valentines Day or Mothers Day shopping don't you?!
